About
Women in Scrubs connects female surgeons, GPs, and patients, making referrals easier and healthcare more equitable. For too long, female surgeons have been underrepresented in referral networks. We’re here to change that – helping patients find expert surgeons, GPs make informed referrals, and surgeons grow their practice.
By championing equity, empowerment, and innovation, we’re reshaping healthcare one connection at a time.

Hi I’m Dr Kate Campbell, Orthopaedic surgeon and founder of Women in Scrubs
Over the years, I’ve seen how female surgeons are often overlooked in referral networks, and I knew something needed to change.
That’s why I created Women in Scrubs. To make it easier for GPs and patients to connect with skilled female surgeons and ensure that expertise, not gender, drives opportunity in healthcare.
I believe that better connections mean better patient outcomes, and I’m excited to see this platform help surgeons, GPs, and patients make informed choices that truly make a difference.
