Dr Sarah Murgatroyd is an orthopaedic surgeon and the founder of Moreton Bay Orthopaedic Practice (MBOP), based at the Peninsula Specialist Centre in Kippa-Ring, QLD. A Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association, she also serves as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland.Dr Sarah provides specialist care in both paediatric/adolescent orthopaedics—including fractures, congenital differences, Ehlers–Danlos syndrome, hip dysplasia, and clubfoot—and upper limb surgery, covering the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Her expertise spans fracture management, joint replacements, arthroscopy, tendon transfers, nerve decompressions, and elbow stabilisation.She trained in leading centres in Australia and the UK, including Macquarie University, Princess Alexandra Hospital, and Southampton Children’s Hospital, before returning to Queensland to serve her local community. Dr Sarah consults at Peninsula Private and Redcliffe Hospitals, and operates across Redcliffe, Peninsula, Brisbane, and Caboolture Private Hospitals.Dedicated to patient-centred care, Dr Sarah combines clinical excellence with a compassionate approach, supporting patients of all ages to restore movement, function, and quality of life.
